Glory|Limited Edition White Porcelain Vase · Plum Blossom · Spring Ascent

Through winter, gather. In spring, bloom in full glory.

The strength gathered through winter bursts forth in spring — in the form of a flower. One plum blossom at the rim, five petals extending downward into five united tubes, tapering to a pointed base. When filled with flowers, the white porcelain recedes into the bloom — yet remains the quiet force that makes all that glory possible. Limited to 99 pieces, handcrafted at Heinrich Wang's studio.

Why Glory|Why This Piece

This piece says one thing: spring is what happens after you endure. Heinrich Wang begins with a single plum blossom — five petals extending downward, each forming a tube, all five converging at the base. The white porcelain holds a coiled energy: still on the surface, charged underneath.

The white porcelain is the stage. The flowers are how the story ends. The unified opening at the top allows flowers to surge outward from the center, spilling in every direction. The name Glory is only fully realized in the moment the flowers are arranged.

Every detail, from base to rim, speaks the language of blessing. The base relief features butterfly cloud patterns — in Chinese, butterfly (蝶) is a homophone for blessing (福). The tapered base echoes a rocket poised for launch. A plum blossom crowns the top. From bottom to top, Glory tells one story: gather strength, break through, bloom.

    Permanent Display

A visual anchor for an entryway, living room, or study. The upward-converging form reads differently in every light — complex without color, present without demanding attention. A piece that earns its place in any season.

    Spring Floral Arrangement

Fill Glory with flowers and watch the name become literal. The single unified opening draws stems together at the center, allowing blooms to cascade outward in every direction. The vase disappears into the arrangement — and that is exactly the point.

    A Gift for New Beginnings

For someone stepping into a new chapter — a new marriage, a new home, a new venture, a promotion. The imagery of breaking through winter and blooming in spring makes Glory one of the most meaningful gifts you can give at a turning point.

Design Detail

Heinrich Wang takes a single plum blossom as his starting point. The rim of the vase is a complete five-petaled flower; each petal extends downward into its own tube, and all five converge into one unified form at the base. The base tapers to a point — a deliberate reference to a rocket held in tension before launch — giving the piece a sense of arrested motion, as if it could ascend at any moment.

The circular base is carved with butterfly cloud relief along its edge. Butterfly (蝶) shares its sound with blessing (福) in Chinese, embedding a quiet wish into the very foundation of the piece. From base to bloom, Glory traces a complete arc: accumulation, breakthrough, radiance.

Design Concept

Glory is a limited edition white porcelain vase by Heinrich Wang, handcrafted at the NewChi Porcelain studio, limited to 99 pieces. The design takes a single plum blossom as its origin: the rim forms one complete five-petaled flower, each petal extending downward into a separate tube, all five uniting at the base. The tapered base references a rocket poised for launch; the base relief embeds butterfly patterns as a homophone for blessing. Heinrich Wang created Glory to embody the idea expressed in his own words: "Carry every warm wish through the cold and the struggle — and in spring, return with a blaze of blooming glory." Glory is both a philosophy in porcelain and an open invitation: fill it with flowers, and complete the story yourself.

Occasions or Usage

As a display object, the upward-converging form creates a focal point with visual tension — the white porcelain surface plays with light and shadow across its five-faceted body.

As a housewarming or wedding gift, the imagery of breaking through hardship and blooming in spring gives this Taiwan white porcelain piece a depth that outlasts the occasion.

As a floral vessel, the single unified opening draws all stems together at the center, producing a natural cascade effect — the vase is the best stage a flower arrangement could ask for.

Ideal For

In spring, return with a blaze of splendor.

FAQs

What is the design concept behind Glory?

Glory is a limited edition white porcelain vase designed by Heinrich Wang, founder of NewChi Porcelain. The rim forms a single complete plum blossom; its five petals extend downward into five tubes that converge into one unified base, which tapers to a point echoing a rocket ready for launch. The base relief features butterfly cloud patterns — butterfly (蝶) is a homophone for blessing (福) in Chinese. The piece embodies the idea of gathering strength through winter and breaking through into spring in full bloom.

Is Glory a good gift for a wedding, housewarming, or new beginning?

Yes — Glory is one of the most thematically resonant gifts for milestone occasions. The imagery of enduring winter and emerging in brilliant spring bloom speaks directly to new marriages, new homes, new ventures, and career milestones. As a limited edition of 99 pieces, it carries natural rarity and weight. The pure white porcelain suits any interior style, making it a gift the recipient will display and return to for years.

What kind of space suits Glory best?

Glory's upward-converging silhouette and assertive verticality make it well suited to entryways, living rooms, or studies — spaces where the eye naturally settles. When filled with flowers, the arrangement becomes the room's focal point. The pure white porcelain adapts to traditional, contemporary, or mixed interiors equally well.
