八方新氣 藝術瓷器 NewChi Porcelain

Together Through Seasons|Limited White Porcelain Vessel · Two Birds · Four Seasons as One

Two birds. Four seasons. One piece, for a lifetime.

Four tubular vessels — two U-shaped forms leaning into each other, like two magpies who have never left each other's side. Plum branches cross between the columns; light falls through the gap between them, warm and unhurried. Limited to 88 pieces, handcrafted at Heinrich Wang's studio, NewChi Porcelain.

Why Together Through Seasons|Why This Piece

Limited to 88 pieces — a craft difficulty that cannot be reproduced. Each of the four porcelain columns shrinks independently during firing. The connection points fracture easily in the kiln — every finished piece is a survivor of fire and time. 88 carries auspicious meaning; it also honestly reflects the threshold of the craft itself.

White porcelain needs no color — form is the language. Pure white relief replaces painted decoration. The detail of plum branches and magpies emerges naturally in light and shadow, growing deeper the longer you look.

Light is the fourth dimension of this piece. Where the two vessels face each other, a gap remains. Light enters from behind, giving the still white porcelain warmth and breath.

Four seasons as one — a symbol of companionship. Four tubular forms represent the four seasons; two U-shaped bodies lean into each other. It is the most restrained and most deeply felt expression of a relationship that endures.

Usage Scenarios

  • 花香一世 八方新氣 白瓷花器 限量收藏 鳥語花香

    Art Display & Daily Presence

A visual anchor for a study or living room — no need to change with the seasons. It is already all four seasons at once. Its presence is the ritual.

    Wedding Gift

Magpies symbolize joy and good tidings in Chinese culture. Two forms leaning together, four seasons as spring — the name itself is the blessing. The limited edition nature gives this gift the weight of something truly rare.

    A Presence in the Room

Pair with dried plum branches or a single fresh stem. Let white porcelain and natural material speak to each other — the vessel does not compete with what is placed inside it.

Design Detail

NewChi Porcelain has always worked through form, light, and the interplay of solid and void — never through painted color. Together Through Seasons is a deliberate conversation: the most familiar subject in Chinese decorative art — birds and blossoms — reinterpreted through pure white relief. Color removed. Form remains.

The four geometric columns are both vessel and three-dimensional canvas. Plum branches extend from one column to the next, crossing the gap between them, completing a painting that needs no pigment.

The plum branch in this piece was drawn from the tree outside Heinrich Wang's studio — the same tree that blooms each winter before anything else. Choosing plum over other flowers was a personal marking of time: not flowers in general, but that specific branch, at the turn of winter into spring, opening before the world is ready.

Design Concept

Together Through Seasons is a limited white porcelain vessel by Heinrich Wang of NewChi Porcelain, limited to 88 pieces. The four tubular forms are composed of two U-shaped units leaning into each other — plum branches and magpies rendered in white relief across the geometric columns, a deep dialogue between contemporary white porcelain craft and the centuries-old tradition of bird-and-flower painting. Where Chinese decorative art has long depended on color, Heinrich Wang chose pure white form and light as the language — not decoration as carrier, but the craft itself as expression. The magpies face each other across the gap between the vessels; when light falls from behind, the relationship between them becomes warm and visible.

Occasions or Usage

Placing Together Through Seasons in a room is a quiet wish — that wherever it stands, the warmth of eternal spring will gently fill the space around it, whether at home or at work.

As a wedding gift, the image of two magpies standing side by side speaks without a single word — a wish for two people to grow old together, always watching over each other.

As a collector's piece, the pairing of plum blossom relief and geometric form makes this work a witness to a conversation between contemporary white porcelain craft and the centuries-old tradition of Eastern bird-and-flower art.

Ideal For

Personal collection / Wedding gift / High-end business gifting / Art collecting

Dimension

L 24.2 × W 20.5 × H 37.5 cm

  • Spring fragrance rising — blessings of four seasons ascending.
Warm bird song — care woven across four directions.
As spring brings joy, as flowers bring warmth —
spring in full bloom, bound together through a lifetime.
    — Heinrich Wang

FAQs

Why is Together Through Seasons limited to 88 pieces?

The firing difficulty is exceptionally high. Each of the four porcelain columns shrinks independently at high temperature, and the connection points fracture easily during the process — resulting in a very low yield of finished pieces. 88 carries auspicious meaning in Chinese culture; it also accurately reflects the threshold of the craft. Every piece is limited in the truest sense.

Can this piece be used as a flower vessel?

Yes. Each of the four tubular openings is independent and can hold thin branches, dried flowers, or a single fresh stem. The piece has complete display value on its own — flowers are an addition, not a requirement.

Is Together Through Seasons suitable as a wedding gift?

Very much so. Magpies symbolize joy and good fortune in Chinese culture; the two leaning U-shaped forms echo the meaning of two people standing together. The name — four seasons as spring, together through a lifetime — is itself a blessing. Its limited edition nature gives this gift a weight that is genuinely rare.
