《A Leap to Victory》|A Flying Steed of Unyielding Spirit – Limited to 222 Editions

在崢嶸崎嶇之上,如履平夷的一匹飛馬,以不敗的龍馬精神,為新一年的每一步,穩穩落點。

Amid rugged terrains and sharp peaks, a flying horse soars gracefully forward — unwavering and determined, embodying the indomitable spirit of a dragon horse. May every step of your new year land steadily and boldly.

Capturing the very instant before a leap, this piece symbolizes unwavering balance and self-assurance in the face of adversity. With wings outstretched and body coiled, the horse pauses in midair — not in hesitation, but to crystallize that defining moment before takeoff. • Breakthrough and unwavering conviction
The horse’s arched neck and ascending spine represent a mindset that remains grounded in principle, even during moments of immense growth — an ideal gift for those who stay true to their path.
  • Momentum meets mastery
Leaning forward in midair, the horse captures the thrust of momentum needed to seize critical moments — a metaphor for achieving readiness just in time to act.
  • Ascending with grace, poised to soar
With wings unfurled from the torso and arched back, the design freezes that “just about to fly” moment — a tribute to long-term preparation before taking the next leap.

Design Philosophy

This is no ordinary steed — it’s a flying horse with wings.

Rather than symbolizing mere luck, it represents the courage born from perseverance, forged through self-discipline and the will to rise again and again.

“A Leap to Victory” brings the Eastern cultural archetype of the “dragon horse” to life through dynamic sculptural expression. The soaring body, grounded rear, and forward-leaning stance reflect a spirit of unrelenting drive. The winged design speaks not only of myth and motion, but of transcending limitations and breaking through expectations.

More than just visually striking, this piece embodies technical mastery: its mid-air stance is hard to balance; wing symmetry is difficult to control; the base demands stability under extreme firing conditions. Only deep craftsmanship and structural precision can bring it to life.

This work is a tribute to the unbreakable spirit — when life presents its steepest trials, your decision to leap with all your might is what defines your victory.

Product Detail

Design Concept

  • Suspended but grounded: Stability in flight
The horse is sculpted to appear mid-leap with all four legs and tail raised, requiring the base to stay level and unwarped through the firing process for visual and structural balance.
  • Symmetrical wings: Technical precision
The wings are cast separately and attached post-firing, demanding perfect alignment in thickness, curvature, and angle to maintain fluid motion and symmetry.
  • Tail and hind legs: Key anchor points
As structural supports, the tail and hind legs must curve gracefully while maintaining full stability, ensuring the horse appears weightless yet firm.
  • Translucent white porcelain: Light in motion
  • No color glaze is used; the high-fired white porcelain reflects ambient light subtly, creating gradients of light and shadow that suggest early morning lift-off.

Occasions or Usage

  • Display on desks or office shelves as a bold daily visual affirmation.

FAQs

What is the inspiration behind adding wings to the horse?

The winged horse draws from the Western myth of Pegasus — symbolizing freedom, creativity, and boundless ascent. In this piece, Heinrich Wang fuses Eastern “dragon-horse” ethos with Western Pegasus imagery, creating a sculpture that embodies unrelenting willpower and transcendent spirit.

What is the cultural meaning behind the name “A Leap to Victory”?

“馬到成功” (lit. “horse arrives, success follows”) is a common Chinese idiom dating back to ancient times, originally wishing for swift victory in battle. Today, it’s used to bless smooth careers and new ventures. This piece transforms the idiom into sculptural form: a soaring horse, ready to win.

Where is this piece best placed?

“A Leap to Victory” symbolizes bold momentum and upward motion. Ideal for offices, studies, receptions, or collector displays, it infuses your space with clarity, decisiveness, and breakthrough energy.
