Design Inspiration | Mountains and Water as an Imagined Utopia

Inspired by the mountain ranges of the Taipei Basin, the teapot’s silhouette flows like natural terrain. The lid’s wave-like ridges and the subtle white gloss reflect mist gliding across morning valleys. The spout is hidden within the rim, making the act of pouring a quiet performance — reflecting the ideal of “silent presence.”

The side-handle, an ancient East Asian design known as “ce ba hu” (側把壺), allows water to flow gently and evenly, ideal for delicate teas. It symbolizes respectful distance and smooth interaction — the spirit of Eastern hospitality.
