Shaped by Three Stars, a Teapot of Complete Blessings

  • Three Spheres, Three Blessings: The teapot body is composed of three rounded forms, each representing Fu (joyful encounters), Lu (dignified success), and Shou (grateful longevity).
  • Contemporary Reinterpretation of Ancient Stars: Based on star worship in Chinese history, the three blessings are reimagined for modern life: connection with loved ones (Fu), integrity and mutual respect (Lu), and appreciation of shared moments (Shou).
  • High-difficulty Porcelain Casting: Due to the spherical composition and asymmetry of the handle and spout, custom slip-casting and support structures were required to ensure even drying and precise firing.
  • Balanced Elegance: The smooth, conical silhouettes give the piece a graceful, uplifting presence on any tea table or display shelf.
  • Glazed in Purity: Finished with clear glaze to retain the natural glow of white porcelain, allowing light to dance along its surfaces.

Fu is found in the joy of meeting and sharing tea. Lu emerges from mutual understanding and sincere respect. Shou lives in those moments of stillness and contentment among companions. "Three Blessings in Harmony" honors these three layers of modern happiness through balanced form, refined texture, and intentional craftsmanship. Design Concept

The veneration of the Three Stars—Fu (Fortune), Lu (Prosperity), and Shou (Longevity)—originates from ancient celestial worship, where each blessing was embodied by a star in the night sky.

The Star of Fortune (Fu) corresponds to Jupiter, known in antiquity as the Year Star, one of the five major planets governing cosmic order.

The Star of Prosperity (Lu) represents honor, achievement, and official success. Also associated with Wenchang and Wenqu, it became the guiding star of scholars after the establishment of the imperial examination system, revered by generations seeking merit and advancement.

The Star of Longevity (Shou), known as the Southern Pole Star, governs lifespan and well-being, becoming the most beloved symbol of long life in Chinese culture.


Together, fortune, prosperity, and health form the three pillars of happiness long cherished in East Asian tradition.

Heinrich Wang, founder of NewChi Porcelain and Tittot, is one of Taiwan’s most representative contemporary artists in white porcelain and liuli glass.
