Design Inspiration – Journeying Together Through All Terrain

In Together With You, two fish leap and float in elegant stillness—each suspended above an uneven rock base.

They are moving in harmony, close yet free. This is not a frozen moment, but a captured relationship: one where presence matters more than perfection.

Heinrich Wang uses the language of form to speak of enduring affection—not the dramatic kind, but the one shaped by everyday acts of care, walking through life side by side.

It’s the friend who never left, the partner who showed up, the parent who steadied you, the teacher who believed in you.

In the language of porcelain, this is how we say: “Thank you for being here.”

Product Detail

Design Concept

The two fish are cast in mid-motion—gliding above a rocky terrain. Their bodies are carefully balanced to appear weightless, a technical feat that required supportive firing techniques and delicate joint control.

Each piece must be stabilized with custom supports and separated with refractory cotton during firing, or else the structure risks distortion or collapse. This complexity mirrors the message of the piece:

balance is only possible through understanding.

FAQs

Who is this suitable for as a gift?

It’s a heartfelt gift for someone who has walked with you through challenges—a partner, sibling, parent, mentor, or friend. It symbolizes presence, trust, and companionship.

Why is this piece technically difficult to produce?

Because the fish appear to float above the surface, only partially touching the base, the piece requires complex support during firing. Achieving symmetry and balance in this form has a low success rate.

Is this sculpture made in two pieces?

No. The two fish are part of a unified composition, supported structurally by shared points on the rocky base.
