Suspended Firing with Tapered Base｜A Technical Leap in Porcelain
Crafted using suspended firing, the pointed base requires perfect gravity control and kiln balance. This technique pushes the boundaries of conventional porcelain shaping.
Asymmetrical Teapot with Flat Handles｜Modern Eastern Geometry
The teapot (available by inquiry) features clean asymmetrical lines and wide flat handles. During 1300°C firing, these forms risk warping, requiring mastery over shrinkage and symmetry.
Precision Lid Fit｜Unified Form at High Temperatures
The lid and teapot must shrink evenly—at around 15%—during firing to achieve a perfect seal. This level of precision is rare and difficult to master in porcelain.
Philosophy of Placement｜Respecting the Object and Its Role
The cup cannot stand alone without its plate, and the plate exists to support the cup. This design reminds us to respect the function of each object, and to return them to their rightful place.
